grey and black lines

updated to f/f 4 but i now get horizontal black and grey lines everytime i scroll down the page. its not on any particular website and is very annoying. have downgraded to the last version of f/f and there is no problem

Start Firefox in Use Troubleshoot Mode in Firefox to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

  • Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

In Firefox 4 Safe mode disables extensions and disables hardware acceleration. Check if there is an update available for your graphics display card driver.

Disable hardware acceleration:

  • Tools > Options > Advanced > General > Browsing: "Use hardware acceleration when available"
