Suddenly, Firefox and IE will not load web pages. I have a good internet signal and am able to send/receive email. No matter what website I try to navigate to, I receive a message stating I am not connected. Any thoughts?
My laptop was infected by some spyware. After running Malware and removing it, I could no longer access the internet via IE. Mozilla seemed to still operate. Suddenly, Mozilla will not access the internet either. The issue is not my internet signal as I have a good signal and can still send/receive email. The problem must be with the programs themselves.

More likely is that your Firewall is blocking both web browsers.
---Try Tools | Options | Advanced (tab) | Network (tab) | Settings (button) and put a tic in front of Auto-detect proxy settings for this network.
---Consider a new antivirus that works properly and create a user account for the kids that has no admin privileges.
---In a few I will open "Internet Options" and walk you through IE. I don't use IE except to test what security issues my wife complains about... and then to see how & why IE is merging with my FF.
---Simply put, infections often change your settings so that they can contact their server to update definitions while getting past your purchased/windows firewall by redirecting the connection. Changing connection settings back is easier than repairing windows registry while finding what else they have damaged. What infection was it? With some (becoming more as days go by), you are just better off reinstalling the OS.

I am having the exact same problem. Happened after I did a viral scan with Avasti and found what you see in the picture.
