I'm on a shared laptop, and for some reason, within the last couple of weeks, I can no longer click on links in messenger, or get to my mail via messenger, because it says 'Application not found' whenever I click on links.

I've tried using virus scans, and even cleaners, how on earth can I fix this problem?

I've accessed my mail via messenger from a friend's computer who refuses to use anything but Google Chrome, and another who uses IE exclusively. I have also clicked links in messages sans a brower window ....

They work for THEIR browsers, but they don't work on my laptop which ONLY HAS Firefox. Hence, my Firefox settings were altered or something was changed on my personal laptop and I have no idea to see how/what happened or the knowledge of how to FIX it.
