How do I change bookmark dropdown ti single spaced?

Frank

Hi folks, I just moved to Windows 10 Pro (from my faithful old Windows 7 Pro) and I installed Firefox 159.0.1 I imported all the bookmarks from my old Firefox 115.44 and I see the bookmark drop-down list is now double spaced, forcing me to scroll to get to most of the bookmarks in my list (in ver. 115 they were single spaced and all my more-commonly used bookmarks were accessible without scrolling). Since I depend on bookmarks a lot, this makes things difficult. I've searched the 'web for ways to fix this but nothing available there seem to work. Please tell me how to change the Firefox 159 bookmark drop-down list back to single spaced. Thanks for any help you can give me with this. And thanks for an otherwise great, reliable browser! Sincerely, Frank Fitz...

Do you mean the top menu list or the bookmarks menu Bookmark Menu icon (star on tray) on a toolbar? The latter is single spaced in the compact mode.

Hi TyDraniu, Thanks for getting back to me. I'm not sure of the terminology so I'll try by description. The horizontal list of bookmarks right below the URL bar is fine and I use that for things like my search engine, browser, news, map Search, and a few others - but there's not enough room for all the bookmarks I need. So I use the Bookmarks selection in the top menu list (above the URL bar - the list with File, Edit, View, History, etc...) Clicking that "Bookmarks" produces a drop-down with a vertical list showing a variety of options for managing bookmarks, plus a number of "built in" bookmarks. About 8 items down in that list I select "Bookmarks" which then pops open a separate drop-down with vertical list of my personal bookmarks - about 75 items long. (And many of those personal bookmarks lead to yet other, usually smaller, drop-down lists.) Both the initial bookmark-managing drop-down and the separate drop-down of my personal bookmarks (and all the sub-lists) are all double-spaced. The result of being double-spaced is that I only get to see about 20 or so bookmarks at a time and I have to scroll down to see anything more than that - which is fairly frequent. In the older version of Firefox with a single-spaced bookmark list, I was able to see about 40 bookmarks at a time and could move my most-commonly used ones into that part of the list. However in the new double-spaced list I can only get the 20 or so most commonly used ones without having to scroll down. So I'm trying to find a way to make the new Firefox ver. 159 personal bookmark list single spaced as it was in Firefox ver. 115. I'll be glad to try any suggestions you might have for solving this problem. Thanks - Frank
