I have four mailboxes using Comcast/Xfinity. One of the four does not appear in Firefox. It DOES appear in Edge and Thunderbird. I asked about this about a month ago and the mailbox appeared. But in the past week it has once again gone missing.

I understand that Firefox only manages the interface to the mailboxes which exist elsewhere., But it is only going that for 3 out of 4. Edge sees all 4.

Do you use a bookmark or are you starting with the main (home) page of this website?

You can try these steps in case of issues with webpages:

You can reload webpage(s) and bypass the cache to refresh possibly outdated or corrupted files.

  • hold down the Shift key and left-click the Reload button
  • press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
  • press "Command + Shift + R" (Mac)

clear the Cache and remove the Cookies for websites that cause problems via the "3-bar" Firefox menu button (Settings).

"Remove the Cookies" for websites that cause problems:

  • Settings -> Privacy & Security
    Cookies and Site Data: "Manage Data"

"Clear the Cache":

  • Settings -> Privacy & Security
    Cookies and Site Data -> Clear Data -> [X] Cached Web Content -> Clear

Start Firefox in Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions) or if hardware acceleration or userChrome.css is causing the problem.

  • switch to the DEFAULT theme: "3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Themes
  • do NOT click the "Refresh Firefox" button on the Troubleshoot Mode start window

I just spent over 30 minutes recovering frm the first two suggestions. Deleting references wholesale is "unpleasant" since several other sites I use Firefox to operate were then not accessible. When I have more time I may try all of the suggested clear reference steps. Thanks for your help. But the issue may be an overflow since I used Firefox for years and never reloaded it.

This issue can be caused by corrupted cookies or blocked cookies.

  • check the permissions for the domain in the currently selected tab in "Tools -> Page Info -> Permissions"
