On Monday September 25th from 10PM EDT - 12AM EDT (2AM UTC - 4AM UTC on September 26th), we will be performing system maintenance on the Firefox Accounts databases for two hours. During the maintenance window, there will be brief periods of a few minutes where users will not be able to login to their accounts. Please try again at a later time.

Chosen solution

If you still have access to that old email account then you can add a secondary email address and make that the primary email address. If you no longer have access to that account then you will have to create a new Firefox account.

You can add a second email address and confirm this address. Once it has been confirmed, you can make the second email address your primary email address.

That would be something you would have to log onto their site and change your preferences at their site if you want to use different notification email.

What internet service connection you are using does not matter. It is the email address you are using. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/change-primary-email-address-firefox-accounts

If you are using the same @gmail.com address then you should be fine.
