About 3 days ago, I noticed my Add-ons were gone. A few of them remained because they are on another line. What happened and how do I get them back?

I checked the Add-ons list to see if they went back home, they didn't.

Thank you, Rhon

It’s possible that there is a problem with the file(s) that store the extensions registry.

Type about:support in the address box and press enter.

Under the page logo on the left side, you will see Application Basics. Under this find Profile Folder. To its right press the button Show Folder. This will open your file browser to the current Firefox profile. Now Close Firefox.

Windows: Show Folder; Linux: Open Directory; Mac: Show in Finder

Linux: Under the page logo on the left side, you will see Application Basics. Under this find Profile Directory. To its right press the button Open Directory.

Delete all extensions* files and compatibility.ini in the Firefox profile folder to reset the extensions registry.

New files will be created when required.

After, restart Firefox.

See "Corrupt extension files"

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++ You may have to approve the updating once again.

Are you possibly using Private Browsing mode ?

You can try "Clear the startup cache..." via the "Help -> More Troubleshooting Information" (about:support) page.

Fred, When following your instructions: "Type about:support in the address box Under the page logo on the left side, you will see Application Basics. Under this find Profile Folder. To its right press the button Show Folder. This will open your file browser to the current Firefox profile. Now Close Firefox."

Under Profile Folder it doesn't state "Show Folder" it states "Open Folder" When I select Open Folder numerous files and folders come up. Then closing Firefox doesn't change one thing.

Also, since I have never selected "Private Browsing" I don't even know if that somehow got changed as well because after the update yesterday my home page is different. It looks like the old home page.

How do I know if I'm in private browsing?

They must have changed it. Windows: Show/Open Folder; Linux: Open Directory; Mac: Show in Finder

When I select Open Folder numerous files and folders come up. Then closing Firefox doesn't change one thing.

The next step is: Delete all extensions* files and compatibility.ini in the Firefox profile folder to reset the extensions registry.
