When starting Thunderbird this morning everything was gone and it wanted me to create a new account! How do I get everything back? I am unable to access any of my email for work until I can get this resolved. I could not find anything on the support page that worked. I opened up the Profile Manager and selected Default. The same thing comes up. I went ahead and tried to use my existing email sign up and create a new account and it did not recognize my log in credentials. I am still able to find all of my files still on the hard drive where Thunderbird stores everything but cannot get Thunderbird to open up so I can point it there. This has never happened to me in the last 15 years of using Thunderbird.

Do I try to start over and download a new version of Thunderbird?

Thanks! Mark

Check for a corrupted prefs file: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1324156

That did the trick. I used an older preference file and everything was restored. Never would have found that on my own!

Thanks, Mark
