recent update to V83.0 and now, I cannot log onto my tesco account and I have to use the dreaded IE
I have tried re entering all my data, user name password etc but still it fails. Tesco "help desk" suggest changing my browser. (Why not reinstall windows at the same time ).. so no help there.
Anyone have a thought as to what I can do?
Chosen solution
I have (eventually) worked out how to flag tesco as a trusted site so, for the purposes of cleaning up my mess, I will nominate this problem as solved.
Thanks to all who helped.

There is security software like Avast, Kaspersky, BitDefender and ESET that intercept secure connection certificates and send their own.

Ha. I had replied buy when I tried to send, I had to log in again... Anyway, thanks for the lonks. I am slowly working my way through. Clearing cache and cookies didn't help. I use AVG. Only got this issue after the recent FF upgrade. I will persevere and if I get to the end of the list with no joy, I'll be back.......
Ahah...
Looking on line, I see that someone suggested checking the extensions. I disabled MALWAREBYTES amd managed to log it. I then re-enabled MWB, messed about in tesco, logged out and managed to log back in. Woo hoo..
lets see what happens after a reboot. issue potentially solved....
That was very good work. Well Done. Please flag your last post as Solved Problem as this can help others with similar problems.
Sadly, a reboot brings me the same issue in that I need to briefly disable MWB, log in to tesco, and re enable MWB. As I know a work around, I shall try other extensions in case MWB is a symptom rather than a cause. IF I have the same issue on my win10 machine, I shall report back. So, for the moment, the problem persists.
STOP PRESS. disabling MWB just now did NOT fix the issue. More work required.
uBlock origin was the extension this time.... lets see what a reboot does...
Modified
It is most certainly your antimalware or security extension. Ublock origin doesn't create such issues, it only blocks unwanted connections.
Sadly, in my case, ublock origin IS the cause as I only have it and MWB extensions on my FF installation. I need Ublock origin support as adding tesco to the trusted site list doesn't help. I suspect, the tesco site is NOT getting back a response that triggers uBlock and the site compains. I did post an image of the error.
It's not a deal breaker. I may try an alternative blocker but, it's no big deal to defeat uBlock while I lok in and switch it back on...
In order that this thread doesn't go on forever, I shall try a few more tweaks and flag it "solved" even though it isn't. A work around is good enough.. LOVE Firefox.. It will be a cold day in hell when I switch browsers.
