I cant turn off "Try Searching For" drop down on Google home page.

I use Google Home page. Recently, some stupid "Try Searching For" drop down box opens every time I go to Search bar!! I've clicked off everything I can find in indexes. How do I get rid of this nuisance 'help'.

I don't think that this is possible via the Googles settings, so may try a content blocking extension like uBlock Origin to see if that can block these suggestions.

Simply clear your all data including cookies, cache and history.

At 2nd option delete this and Install new browser.
