Hello tlk...
Follow the given instruction and support link:
issue is in your Profile or it was a bad update/download or have malware.
Take your pick.......
Try create a new Profile and run it, if itstill does it then not the issue :
https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profile-manager-create-and-remove-firefox-profiles
Please use more than 1 scanner as each uses diff tech :
https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-caused-malware Save your Report and google each before deleting anything as do not want to delete something you need, If need help : https://forums.malwarebytes.com/topic/9573-im-infected-what-do-i-do-now/ Post in only 1 forum, then wait.
Last Resort Only : Please uninstall Firefox. Then Delete the Mozilla Firefox Folders in C:\Program Files and C:\Program Files(x86) Then restart system. Then run Windows Disk Cleanup. Then run it again and click the button that says Cleanup System Files. Note: your Firefox Profile is saved. But you should make a back up before you do : https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/back-and-restore-information-firefox-profiles
Reinstall with Current Release Firefox 57.0 with a Full Version Installer https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/all/
Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.
I hope resolve your problem then reply me back.
THANK YOU
Hi tlk2012, I think yours is the third problem posted today with Yahoo as the home page. I'll link to the other threads for reference and commiseration, but there isn't a solution in them yet:
Maybe the three of you can recognize some common factor that might be causing this?
You can check the Web Console and Network Monitor for possible reported errors.
- "3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Web Developer
- https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/Tools/Web_Console
You can check the Network Monitor to see if content is blocked or otherwise fails to load.
If necessary use "Ctrl+F5" or "Ctrl+Shift+R" (Mac: Command+Shift+R) to reload the page and bypass the cache to generate a fresh log.
