Is there a way to manually export bookmarks, passwords, etc. either with software or personally?
I was trying to test out the new edge but I'm having trouble transferring my bookmarks and passwords over. Can anyone recommend a manual way to export the files/settings I need or perhaps some software to do it instead?
Chosen solution
Bookmarks are easy. Saved logins, I don't know.
The most cross-browser compatible format for exchanging bookmarks/favorites is the ancient Netscape HTML file format. See:
Export Firefox bookmarks to an HTML file to back up or transfer bookmarks
I don't know what formats Edge might use to import bookmarks passwords, but since it is based on Chromium, perhaps you can follow advice for export/import to other Chromium browsers such as Google Chrome.

Modified
Importing the bookmarks is quite easy. I believe Microsoft added support for importing bookmarks from Firefox directly in their settings. If you don't have that option, exporting from your Firefox bookmarks to HTML should work.
As for importing passwords, that's a little more difficult. I've read conflicting articles about it and admittedly I don't have Microsoft Edge installed to check.
Some articles insist that Microsoft Edge can now import passwords as well, but other screenshots I've seen suggest otherwise.
