I imported Edge Favorites into Firefox. How do I now see those imported Bookmarks/Favorites?

Hate to be this dumb...but I cannot see ANY bookmarks, the ones I imported from Edge. NONE!

Hi eagar23, most likely there is a new folder at the bottom of the Bookmarks Menu with your imported bookmarks. Where is that menu? Ahhh... I realize I'm about to deluge you with options, but you can simply pick the method that best suits your style of working.

You can view the Bookmarks Menu using either:

(1) Classic menu bar -- usually hidden. Tap the Alt key (or F10) to active it.

To show it persistently, any of these methods should work:

  • (menu bar) View > Toolbars
    On Windows, tap the Alt key to activate the menu bar temporarily.
  • right-click (on Mac Ctrl+click) a blank spot on the tab bar (or the "+" button)
  • in Customize mode > Toolbars button (see: Customize Firefox controls, buttons and toolbars)

Then click Menu Bar.

(2) Bookmarks Menu toolbar button -- optional. To add that button, either:

(A) Use the Customize panel (Customize Firefox controls, buttons and toolbars) to drag the icon to the desired spot on the toolbar

(B) Use the method from Bookmarks in Firefox - section entitled: How do I add the Bookmarks Menu button to the toolbar?

  • Click the "Library" button:
  • Click "Bookmarks"
  • Click "Bookmarking Tools"
  • Click "Add Bookmarks Menu to Toolbar"

(3) Bookmarks Sidebar -- you can open/close the sidebar using Ctrl+b, unless the site intercepts that for some other purpose. There's also a Sidebars button on the toolbar by default (usually). More info: Use the Firefox Sidebar to access bookmarks, history, passwords and synced tabs.

(4) Library Window -- called up by "Show All Bookmarks" or Ctrl+Shift+b. This is most useful for re-organizing, for example, moving imported bookmarks from a folder to the main level of the menu.
