Um, do you mean you want to hide the top toolbar with the tabs:

You don't want to see them? Or are you using an extension that shows them in the sidebar?

Extensions cannot hide toolbars in Firefox 57-66. Maybe next year? For now, you would need to use custom style rules in a userChrome.css file. That's a little bit of a project, but others have done it before. This thread has some information:
