Currently my Firefox allows 3 windows (with tabs) to open at time. Anything else is lost on startup. I used a session manager previously on a different device that was great. The one I tried recently was horrible. Any help here?

Enter about:config in the url bar and set browser.sessionstore.max_windows_undo = 17.

Or, like my setting of 25 for any heavy duty users. (Grin) I was at 21 windows just a few days ago with some recent Sessions.

Hi happyfrog, this could be related to the way you close Firefox. If you exit using the menu, either

  • "3-bar" toolbar button > Exit
  • (menu bar) File > Exit

then all of the windows will be treated as open windows instead of only the last one closed.

As a safety measure, in case Windows closes Firefox one window at a time, I do set browser.sessionstore.max_windows_undo to 10.

Thank you TyDraniu and jscher2000!! This does exactly what I wanted without a bunch of fuss!
