Following error message received when trying to logon to my Comcast e-mail account. It has always worked fine in the past:

"Sending of username did not succeed. Mail server Comcast.net responded Plaintext authentication disallowed on non-secure (SSL/TSL) connections."

Probably Comcast has changed something on their end. Any ideas?

Hello Ed,

You don't mention whether you use Thunderbird or not, but in case you do, please see the Chosen Solution in this thread :

If you don't use Thunderbird, may I suggest to contact your email provider  ?
