I use T-Bird on my Mac Book Pro laptop and one thing I don't like it about it is not being able to drag an attachment into the body of the message like other modern email apps can. Its behind the times as far as drag and drop. To click on Attach from the toolbar seems to old fashioned.

Chosen solution

Drag and drop to the Address Field works just fine. After dropping the first attachment on the address field the attachment box shows for any additional attachments.
