I am having issues with firefox and homedepot.coml. Search is not working when I hit enter. If i type something into the search field and then hit enter nothing happens. I am running firefox esr 52.7.2. I have to hit F5 to reload the page and when it reloads it executes the search.

The people who code the home depot site are horrible I get that but seems that firefox is also having issues with basic forms.

Many site issues can be caused by corrupt cookies or cache.

  • Clear the Cache and
  • Remove Cookies

Warning ! ! This will log you out of sites you're logged in to. You may also lose any settings for that website.

If there is still a problem, Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link} by holding down the <Shift> (Mac=Options) key, and then starting Firefox.

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh). Did this help?

While you are in safe mode;

Try disabling graphics hardware acceleration in Firefox. Since this feature was added to Firefox it has gradually improved but there are still a few glitches.

How to disable Hardware Acceleration {web link}

Thanks for the reply, I went ahead and cleared the cache for anything homedepot related, the problem is still there. Hardware acceleration has also been unchecked. The search button issue and hitting enter continues. No ad blocker is active on the pages either.

What about Firefox Safe Mode?

Thanks for the suggestion Fred, I disabled all extensions and after enabling and disabling them I found it was uBlock Origin. My first thought was the extension was causing the issue and I had it set to disabled on homedepot. There must be some bug since it is somehow still active even though it was disabled via its menu system.

Good work. Contact uBlock support and ask questions. Let us know the outcome.
