Windows 10 Home 64-bit Thunderbird 52.7.0 32-bit Enigmail G-hub lite Google search for Thunderbird Lightening Provider for Google Calendar Theme font & Size changer

Every app startup gives me three "Sign in to your account" boxes, all for Google Calendar, as shown in the attached. Not a show stopper, but irritating: how do I stop it?

Ok, my guess is you have more than three calendars in lightning as the prompt offers three different GUIDs for the account.

What shows in the task or calendar tab for Calendars? my guess is three with yellow triangles beside them indicating they are not working and at least one other that you are using, probably a local calendar that leaves you thinking everything is working.

I have no solution, other than to say the expiry of your token is at the mercy of Google. I went through this about a month ago. Then it just stopped asking.

Mine has been doing since install, for weeks now. One extra kink: I blow these popups away without logging into them. And all Google access works fine!

It is the provider for google calendar that is asking, and as you do not provide the credentials, of course it asks again next time. You answer your own question.

Given the provider for google calendar is not required for cal dav connected calendars, I assume that is how you set it up. The only real advantage to using the provider over caldav is the provider includes tasks. Cal dav does not. If you are not using the provider, you probably should disable it so it stops asking you to sign in.

I'll explore the cal dav aspect. Thnx!

But this leaves two things unanswered:

- initially I signed in all three prompts, they reappeared regardless
- I get three popups, every time. I only show one in the screen capture, but the other two were lurking in the background.

I can only respond to the information you supply. Is there anything else lurking in the background before I tryu and figure this out for you?

You might start by posting ALL the dialogs so we can see what components are requesting access.

Then define what "all Google access works fine" means to you.

You could have an oAuth2.0 sign in for say a contacts sync add-on. Cancelling that prompt would not make for an obvious failure. Likewise if you have a local calendar, only checking the google web site would determine if the stuff you were putting in locally was being synced.

ooookay. If you review the OP, you'll see that I clearly stated "3 Google Provider popups". Regardless... By all access fine, I mean that I can use both gmail and Google Calendar without issue.

Spot on.

Actually two were dupes of other_working_ calendars, one for Google Calendar and one for US Holidays, and the third was to my wife's calendar.

So now if you actually give the dialog some credentials to work with they will stop popping up all the time. About once a month I get them for some reason only known to Google.

You will also get your holidays etc.

When I said 'all Google access is working fine' I wasn't mistaking it for a local calendar.

The 'duplicates' I mentioned are and were functional.

The prompts from the yellow-triangle entries were history as soon as I deleted them.

Thanks again.
