I checked filters deleted all of then for every account. Checked my email provider not that. I have extensive computer experience as I went to college for computer science, was a network admin and a programmer as well as a web designer/coder so it is not an issue of ignorance. It happens intermitantly. Doesn't seem to follow a pattern in respect to who the emails are from.

Hi all, Since December 5th Thunderbird seems not to be working. It's just endlessly loading without displaying my new emails (even though I know I have new ones) on all of my accounts, which are from warious mailboxes. A few weeks ago, one of my accounts stopped working as well and thunderbird told me that the password was incorrect (even though it is the right one, I was able to log in on Outlook with it and was able to receive e-mails - and even though my other Outlook accounts were still perfectly working on thunderbird), so I just stopped trying for this mail adress. However, now none of them seems to be receiving emails. I don't have any error message or anything saying my passwords are incorrect though, so this must be another problem. Another of my accounts kept opening tabs in thunderbird asking me to log in on the website of the mailbox (it's a professional one from a university), and that had never happened before. I tried turning off and on my computer, closing and reopening the window (about a dozen times), deleting one of my accounts on thunderbird and trying to add it again - and it's still endlessly loading trying to "check the password". Even though, again, I am 100% positive it is the right one - copied pasted it and everything. Does anyone know what's going on ? It seems to be a Thunderbird problem since I'm still receiving my emails on other apps and everything, but I haven't seen anything on it online. It's becoming a bit frustrating. Thank you !

Any suggestions about why the display might be glitching in Thunderbird... attached image as an example. Missing letters and things that sometimes reappear when you mouse over them. Occasionally get neon green lines too. Something to do with my computer's graphics settings? Doesn't happen all the time.

I have the latest version of Thunderbird.

Hello, I noticed recently that my Thunderbird account inbox stopped receiving messages on 12/3 and the last 6 messages in my inbox appeared to replicate each time I tried to refresh the inbox to the point where I had nearly a dozen of each of these messages in the inbox, which I've since deleted. Example of this is attached below.

When attempting to refresh the inbox, I am getting the following error message box that reads:

Error with account stevemarchesi@verizon.net

The account stevemarchesi@verizon.net is being processed. Please wait until processing is complete.

I've attached a screen shot of this message box below.

I've checked my account settings and all are still valid. I would appreciate any guidance that could be offered to resolve this. I am able to successfully receive email for the same account on other devices and can send email with Thunderbird, just cannot receive.

Please advise if any additional questions.

Filtered messages reappear in Inbox after "Ibox>Folder Properties>Repair Folder". The filters work but apparently they don't delete the message after running but just hide it. It shows up again after Repair Inbox in the inbox, already copied(so not moved) to the destination as well.

- latest version (102.5.1) - not sure when started (noticed 2 versions back I think) - Win10

Morning,

I'm going through my (nearly full) Gmail account to reduce its size. Many messages will have attachments that are project specific rather than me specific so can be detached to our corporate file server.

When I use the detach function, either with a single file or "Detach all", the functionality doesn't complete entirely. The attachments do get written to storage where I specified, however they aren't removed from the email they were in after I confirm the action is desired. If I look at the message again both via Thunderbird or the Gmail UI the attachments are still present.

I've also tried this with a message residing in a cPanel IMAP account (via Dovecot), and that worked fine. I suspect something specific to Gmail is stopping the detachment happening? Nothing in the Activity Manager or Error Console shows a possible cause.

From several weeks we have to copy and paste the account passwords at every launch of Thunderbird. If I flag the option to remember passwords nothing happens; thunderbird did not proceed and ask again for passwords. The only way to proceed is to fill the passwords without the flag to remember passwords. In this case I can access to the mails but I will have the same problem at the next startup of Thunderbird. This happens both on Win10 64bit and Win10 32bit versions. Thank you for your support best regards Davide

Thunderbird sometimes hangs when sending emails or saving draft emails. For example when I compose and send an email, the email often remains displayed and does not close. If I click the close "X" I often get a warning message that Thunderbird is still sending the email, or that Thunderbird sent the email but did not copy the email to the sent folder. This is on a PC running Windows 10.

I have been using Thunderbird for several years. It has been stable, it remembered my passwords, and the calendar synchronized with my Google calendar without issue.

I recently installed a Windows update, to Windows 10 Home, version 21H1, build 19043.1889. Since the update Thunderbird frequently crashes, typically after around 10 to 30 minutes after starting.

In the hope it might resolve the crashing, I installed Thunderbird 102.2.0. Since then Thunderbird continues to crash frequently, plus I now have had the following issues:

1) Every time I start Thunderbird, Provider for Google Calendar requires me to enter my Google password and authenticate on my phone. Previously Provider just needed the password and authentication at the time of initial set up only.

2) When I click 'Get Messages', Thunderbird asks for the password to my e-mail account. If I check the box for 'Use password manager to remember this password' then 'Get Messages' always fails. If I do not check then 'Get Messages' is successful, but I have to enter the password every time.

3) Similarly, when I send an e-mail Thunderbird asks for the password to my e-mail account. If I check the box for 'Use password manager to remember this password' then sending the message always fails. If I do not check then sending the message is successful, but I have to enter the password every time.

After updating to MacOS Ventura Thunderbird starting slow.

I get this error message:

I have only one profile installed, but when I start Thunderbird using the terminal /Applications/Thunderbird.app/Contents/MacOS/thunderbird-bin -P

it starts very fast but I get an error

UNSUPPORTED (log once): POSSIBLE ISSUE: unit 1 GLD_TEXTURE_INDEX_2D is unloadable and bound to sampler type (Float) - using zero texture because texture unloadable

One more thing is, that I can't see any images and there is no button any more to allow it for each email separately.

I also tried to reinstall Thunderbird, but even then it starts very slow.

What can I do? Any idea?

I have switched to gmail because Sky e-mail does not work well with Windows - even using the web page. So far, Thunderbird has worked fine with it. But I have an intermittent problem. The toolbar icon and the account tabs will show that there is a new message in the Inbox. But it is not displayed in the main window (I sort messages by date received, and I don't use threads). If I switch to the "Important" or "All Mail" windows, it can be seen there (and accessed readily). So, why doesn't it appear in the Inbox window?

I am receiving emails and I can open them - but there is no text, no messages, just a blank screen. When I try to enter another email I can do it - but the title remains stuck on the previous email's title - and I can't read either. gI've tried by passing the firewall using the right hand `options' and it does nothing.

MacBook Pro Thunderbird 102.5.1 I have two accounts on Thunderbird. The one I rarely use is ok. But my primary email account wont download from the server. I havent changed anything. I talked with Tech Support re: my Internet provider and all setting on their side are fine. I've tried to Force Quit Thunderbird. Shut down computer...nthing works When i try to Get Messages I get error message "The account Tima's account is being processed. Please wait until processing is complete to get messages." This goes on forever and nothing happens.

After an update yesterday, thunderbird v104.2 opens up as a blank window. The menus show up and it seems to download messages, but I'm unable to see any folders or messages. I've tried deleting the "global..." file, I've uninstalled and reinstalled an older version, and nothing is working for me. I've read other threads about this issue and tried the solutions, but have not found one that works for me. I'd appreciate any new ideas. I'm running on Windows10 thanks

I'm currently in v108.0b2 (32-bit) but it's been hapening for a few updates now. For some reason when i select and/or move multiple emails into another folder the folder window scrolls down to the bottom every time. So srolling up to sort emails into their folders pops the view back to the bottom and i have to re-scroll back up to sort more emails. I have to make sure those emails are selected too because just selecting more than 1 causes the folder view to pop back down again. It's never happened before just since the last 2 updates.
