How do I undo a "whitewash"? I lost 2 critical emails (2:03pm and one before and need these!

When I was trying to view and print 2 recent emails from NYS Tax dept (one at 2:03pm other prior approx 1:48-1:58 got msg saying there may be a problem with mail function in Firefox since I had ad blocker sw so I hit the "whitewash" button thinking this would allow me to print them but instead it wiped out all my recent emails!!! I need these back - stop changing things that mess everything up!!

Hi, stop hitting buttons that are not the print button and there is no recovery from a whitwash I would think. Since Firefox is not a email program what site or program are you using for your email. ?
