scrolling window screenshot

HI,

Taking screenshot now is a breeze,, I luv it, however if there are certain pages which have scrolling in certain section which needs to be captured then the scrolling window screenshot would be great.

Or atleast if we can fix a certain part of the screen and start screen capture with scrolling that would also be great.

Hope to hear from you guys on your thoughts about it.

Best Regards, AvinashR

You might need an add-on that can take a shot of the whole web page including the part out of view.

Or you can try a screen recorder (separate program).

Hi AvinashR, I don't know if any existing screenshot tools can adjust the height of a scrolling section within a page to show all the content before capturing a full page screenshot. You could suggest that as a feature for Firefox's tool, but I suspect that making modifications to the page layout would not be an urgent priority. So until then...

If you are familiar with HTML and CSS, you can use the "Page Inspector" tool to modify the rules for the element (for example, it may involve changing height from a set number of pixels to auto and/or changing overflow from scroll/auto/hidden to visible in the CSS Rules panel). But this does require poking around and experimenting, and may take some time and a couple reloads if you make mistakes.

Otherwise, perhaps you can find a separate add-on or other tool that can expand the scrolling section first before using your favorite screenshot tool.

If you use its "forced" mode it will expand scrolling sections temporarily to screenshot them. Cool.
