Firefox logged me out and deleted my account, including home page and all bookmarks saved over years.
I've been using Firefox for several years but about a week ago it suddenly logged me out and apparently deleted my entire account,meaning I have to rejoin if I want to use Firefox. So I've lost all my bookmarks which have been built up over a long time and also, more importantly, all my calendar schedules. I assume my records must be floating around in the ether somewhere and wonder is there is any way I can retrieve them.

You can check if you have an "Old Firefox Data" folder on the desktop in case the Refresh feature in Firefox has been used and a new profile has been created.

Locked out of what? Your profile? Sync? A Mozilla forum? . . . . . .
Perhaps "logged out" was in incorrect term to use. Firefox just disappeared, one moment I was using it, the next I had a white screen. When I reopened firefox, everything was gone, it was if I'd deleted the browser and downloaded it anew.

Many thanks to all those who replied to my query. The problem seems to have resolved itself somehow. Still, as long as it works. Again thanks for taking the trouble to reply, much appreciated.

While everything is now working;
I use an add-on that makes backups of my user profile, Just In Case. Unfortunately, it is not compatible with the current Firefox.
Every now and then, open the profile folder and create a copy of the current profile as is to another location on your hard drive. This way you will have a backup.
If you do this each day, you will not lose much data. This should be done with Firefox Closed.
Note: In case you need to restore from these backups, you may need to overwrite old or corrupted files.
many thanks
