can't pull up websites in new tab

When I open a new tab and type in a website it will not pull up. I can only use the first tab in firefox.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link} by holding down the <Shift> (Mac=Options) key, and then starting Firefox.

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?

That looks like it did the trick. I also closed and reopened firefox (without using shift the second time) and it appeared to continue to work. The appearance of firefox is a little different (looks like the version before the update), but I am just glad it works. Thanks!!
