Do not have Advanced SsystemCare Surfing Protection program on my computer. Now why can't I make NEVER REMEMBER HISTORY a default setting?

For years now I have been able to set NEVER REMEMBER HISTORY as my default in Firefox. Suddenly last week I cannot enter any site without allowing cookies and I am unable to maintain NEVER REMEMBER HISTORY as my default setting. Why? What changed? I have checked my programs and do not have Advanced SystemCare Surfing Protection on my computer.

What has Iobit's Advanced System Care got to do with anything. Glad do not have it installed for many reasons.

Please : https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/export-firefox-bookmarks-to-backup-or-transfer and https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/back-and-restore-information-firefox-profiles then https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/refresh-firefox-reset-add-ons-and-settings TEST....... If no issues then Extensions which need to be added back in 1 at a time and tested ..... Or it is your Profile : Make a new one and test ...: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profile-manager-create-and-remove-firefox-profiles

Do you mean that "Never Remember History" doesn't stay selected or don't you keep a checkmark on "Always use Private Browsing mode"?

The "Use custom settings..." choice will stay selected when at least one history setting is not the default to make you aware that you made changes. Only when all History settings are default then the custom settings are hidden and you see "Firefox will: (Never) Remember History". "Never Remember History" means that Private Browsing is active and "Always use private browsing mode" has a checkmark.
