New Firefox 57 is killing my system!
I downloaded the new version 57 yesterday. All of a sudden, it's running very s-lo-w-l-y. When task Manager finally opened, I saw FF eating up 2000 + MB. and increasing rapidly to over 3000. I closed FF and re-opened. All I had open was a Tab for Yahoo. I took a screenprint, which is attached. Shows using > 2000MB.
Firefox, I think there's something seriously wrong.

If you think you might want to access any of your Firefox data in the future, you can do this instead.
Set Windows to show hidden files and folders:
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/14201/windows-show-hidden-files
Rename
C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox
to
C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\FirefoxOLD
and delete
C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Mozilla\Firefox
jscher2000: thanks, but I won't need them.

Firefox, has been broken for a while now.
I rolled back to version 50 and installed SpyBot to help protect me, in addition to my virus protection.
I get HUGE LONG PAUSES with any newer version, memory surges to the GB, and I go to over 400 MB just opening version 56 and 57.
Firefox has FAILED us, so I encourage EVERYONE to go back to version 50 for the next year.
When IE is better than you, Fireflop, you failed.
