I am about to give up. Even refresh hasn't helped. Unusable for the last month or so. Forced to use Chrome.
Slow, slow, slow....often hangs up. Often can't keep up with typing...it used to be great. What happened? Is there any hope? Or do I just go completely Chrome?

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link} by holding down the <Shift> (Mac=Options) key, and then starting Firefox.
A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?

Start your Computer in safe mode with network support. Then start Firefox. Try Safe websites. Is the problem still there?
