How do I get back all my add-0ns, Bookmarks, etc., after an upgrade?

Good morning:

Why do I loose all my info, i.e., add-ons, bookmarks, passwords, everything each time there is an upgrade/update?

Please provide steps to recover all this information that I have installed.

I am so fed up with this way of upgrading/updating your system.

An update should not do anything to your profile data. You say this is every time?

Look on your desktop. Do you see a folder called; Old Firefox?

Type about:profiles<enter> in the address bar. How many profiles are listed? How many should be there?
