Firefox for Mac Stuck in Update loop
Hi,
I've updated Firefox manually however its stuck asking to update. It seems to be showing the same update mutiple times as pending. I've cleared the profile and refreshed firefox and as well as an uninstall and nothing has worked. Where does FireFox store update information on the mac? it did ask to install tha helper but since then I can't find how to remove it.
Thanks,
Tom

Hi !
Download a new copy of the latest Firefox version and save the disk image (dmg) file to the desktop.
https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all.html
Trash the current Firefox application (e.g. open the Applications folder in the Finder and drag the Firefox application to the Trash) to do a clean (re-)install. Install the new version that you have downloaded

Your personal data is stored elsewhere in the Firefox profile folder, so you won't lose your bookmarks and other personal data when you uninstall and (re)install Firefox.
Hi,
Thanks for your fast reply. I tried this and its not resolved the problem. Any other ideas?
Thanks,
Tom.
I don't use a MAC myself, but are you sure that you've done this :
If files already have been downloaded then you need to remove the files in the updates and updates/0 folder in the Firefox installation folder.
You can delete active-update.xml and updates.xml as well ( if present).
