Adobe Flash always fails to update in Firefox, permissions fail

Fails because I don't have sufficient permissions. I am the administrator, I own the machine, I am the only user. Yet Chrome works fine???

Chosen solution

Try to install the full version of that latest Flash plugin.

You can download the latest Flash player versions for Firefox via this page:

Try to install the Flash installer as administrator (right-click: Run As).

Boot the computer in Windows Safe Mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen or hold down the Shift key) to see if that allows to install Flash.

Chrome uses a Pepper Flash Player (PPAPI) while web browsers like Firefox and SeaMonkey uses a NPAPI version.
