I have tried everything but still cannot get any sound in Firefox.

Firefox works except there is no sound. I have refreshed it, tried safe mode, checked plug-ins and everything else that the 

  Firefox advice gives but still cannot find the off and on switch.  The other browsers work fine.

I did not notice it until I sent the above reply the sound is now working. When mozilla sopport came up, it came in the fox browser, I then tried the places that I told you and it worked,-strange but I don't know what happened.

That is rather odd. Other browser probably use similar methods and similar controls. Can you give a couple of example of public sites you try where the sound works on other browsers but not on Firefox.

If it is flash player content note FlashPlayer does have its own global settings, but I think that is for microphone sound rather than speaker volume.

I am using Windows 10 Home-1607 The sound works in the Edge browser. Try perfectorigins.com and ctv.ca
