This web site says this: If you're seeing this message, it means we're having trouble loading external resources, make sure domain is unblocked
I tried to refresh firefox to fix this problem...this message has appeared in the past but was fixed by simply refreshing the page. This is the message I'm seeing: If you're seeing this message, it means we're having trouble loading external resources for Khan Academy.
If you're behind a web filter, please make sure that the domains *.kastatic.org and *.kasandbox.org are unblocked.
Where are the web filters at, how do I unblock the domain if this is truly the issue? Any feed back is very mych appreciated, Thank you.

By the way the locks in the domain section are grey triangles with exclamation point in middle.
That could be significant because certain kinds of content not loaded over a secure connection are not allowed in a secure page. There's a search box toward the upper right corner of the Web Console. If you type mix into that box to filter the list, are there any references to mixed content? You might need to reload the page again (with the web console already open) to check that.
Also, on the Network Monitor, if you right-click one of the cdn.kastatic.org lines that indicates css or script in the Type column, and choose Open in New Tab (it's toward the bottom), do you get any secure connection-related errors, or an icon at the left end of the address bar that isn't a green padlock?

That is talking about site blocking software.
Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web Link} by holding down the <Shift>
(Mac=Options) key, and then starting Firefox.
A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh).
Is the problem still there?
Start your Computer in safe mode with networking. Then start Firefox. Try Safe websites. Is the problem still there?
Thank you for taking time to answer my question. I followed the instructions, was able to operate in safe mode, but the problem still persist, as far as I can see this is the only website having this problem, any Firefox trouble shooting for this specific webpage? Thanks again.
Are you using private browsing windows? If you see a "shield" icon to the left of the address bar (same area where you see an "i" in a circle and a padlock for a secure connection), Tracking Protection is blocking some parts of the page. Please see this article for more information: What happened to Tracking Protection?.
I'm not aware of any other built-in feature that block parts of pages.
Have you had any problems with Firefox making secure connections?
I don't think I'm using a private browser, there is no shield icon only the "i" symbol. Firefox had been running well for me, if I have problems I just refresh and its runs ok. Its saying to try unblocking the domain how do i do this?
What should I do now?
Please provide a public link to where you see this message.
P.S. Did you try the Computer in Safe Mode?
Hi FredMcD, I did run firefox in safe mode with no success. I just opened the debugger option in the developers tab in the menu icon. I selected the console tab and its says: "ReferenceError: KAdefine is not defined [Learn More]". Does this provide more insight into the problem?
Sorry, here is the public link: https://www.khanacademy.org/
This site uses a lot of external resources. I am attaching screenshots of the list I get in the Network Monitor when I reload the page bypassing the cache (open the network monitor first, then Ctrl+Shift+r). The "200" code with the green dot indicates a successful load. How does yours look by comparison?
To open that panel, you can use either:
- Ctrl+Shift+q (if not intercepted by the page or an add-on)
- Ctrl+Shift+k then click Network along the top bar
- menu button > Developer > Network
- (menu bar) Tools > Web Developer > Network

Thanks for your help, I don't know how to send a screen shot, if I can even do so on my tablet. I'll do my best to describe. In the status section all circles for this site are grey, all "lock" icons in the domain section ( where you highlighted in red square in your example) are also all grey for this site. When i click the console tab under the web menu>developer>debugger I was seeing this message: "ReferenceError: KAdefine is not defined [Learn More]". Although I don't see that message anymore.
Does this provide more insight into the problem?
FredmcD, yes I did run computer in safe mode three times, no success
By the way the locks in the domain section are grey triangles with exclamation point in middle. In web menu>developer>debbuger. I click the console tab and see this message:

Jscher2000, thank you so much for all the time you've contributed, thank you so much for your patience and help ....here's what happened:
I went into the web console, typed mix in that filter you mentioned, I did not see phrase saying mixed content, instead, the words in the text box for the web console cleared/ erased as soon as I wrote mix. When the words cleared the website began to function! The webpage seems to be working. I went back in to the Network monitor as you mentioned, when I opened a new tab/window for the css, there is only a green padlock with this info in the text box below: .scratchpad-project-editor h4{margin-bottom:11px}.scratchpad-project-editor .cke_editable{background:#FFF;border:1px solid #CCC;min-height:100px;padding:8px 10px}.scratchpad-project-editor .cke_editable p{margin:0 0 1em 0}.scratchpad-project-editor .project-editable-area{margin-top:22px}.scratchpad-project-editor .explanation{font-size:.8em}.scratchpad-project-rubric-editor ul{list-style:disc;margin:.5em;padding-left:30px}.scratchpad-project-rubric-editor ul li{padding:3px}.scratchpad-project-rubric-editor ul li input[type=text]{font-size:16px;padding:5px;width:325px}
I don't know about Win 8, but in Win 7 there is a program called Snipping Tool.

Yes, that's good, it means you got a secure load on that file, finally.
(.css files generally are just a wall of style rules, they are always shown in their plain text form)
