what happened to my Yahoo Toolbar?
today my Yahoo Toolbar is gone.....where is it?
Chosen solution
Sorry, what do you mean by see nothing? The whole bar doesn't show up?
Could you check these places:
Toolbar List
Either:
- right-click a blank spot on the tab bar (or the "+" button)
- tap the Alt key to activate the classic menu bar > View > Toolbars
- in Customize mode > Show/Hide Toolbars (see: Customize Firefox controls, buttons and toolbars)
If Yahoo! Toolbar is listed and not "checked" go ahead and click it to turn it on. If it's not listed, please see the next suggestion.
Add-ons Page
Either:
- Ctrl+Shift+a (Mac: Command+Shift+a)
- "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons
In the left column, click Extensions. Then check on the right side for the Yahoo extension. If it is disabled, it will be all the way at the bottom, and you can click the Enable button to restore it. Note: If Firefox displays a link above the extension saying you need to restart Firefox, click that link.
Any progress?

I found this announcement:
On August 1, 2016 we will simplify the Firefox Yahoo Toolbar and upgrade your browser to the New Tab by Yahoo extension experience. This extension provides a static version of Yahoo Toolbar and customizes your new tab page with Flickr photos and quick access to your top sites. Please note, you will no longer be able to modify your toolbar layout.

That's all I know about what's going on.
Disclaimer: I have no idea whether the following will allow customization. If you test it, please report back.
The previous versions of the "new" toolbar are available on the Add-ons site:
https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/yahoo-toolbar-and-new-tab/versions/
I don't know whether it will help, but you can turn off updating for the toolbar on the Add-ons page. Either:
- Ctrl+Shift+a (Mac: Command+Shift+a)
- "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons
In the left column, click Extensions. Find Yahoo toolbar on the right side and click the tiny More link under the title, then on that page, find the row for Automatic Updates and set it to Off.
If you find that you ALSO have that other Yahoo extension, you might need to disable it to avoid a conflict.
Please post back with your experiences -- many other Yahoo users have the same concern.
loaded the new one but see nothing....does anyone know of a toolbar that will work on FF? thanks

the BAR DOES NOT SHOW UP, it's a Button installed on the top right corner of my browser. Your instructions does not work and is meaningless because it's a button when it's being advertised as a Toolbar. This is MISLEADING and BOGUS! have you been following the trends on news and FIX the URL I provided which Firefox says is corrupt when it worked perfectly last night but not today.
