How come Microsoft KB URL's do not open in Firefox?

URL for example.https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/312336

When I open this URL Firefox drops me to this page https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/312336?wa=wsignin1.0 I assume it is following some sort of server side redirect.

If I open it in Chrome I get a knowledge base article entitled E-mail messages are not automatically sent or received at startup in Outlook
