I have Nightly version 48.0a1 and since the last update(today 4/10/2016) it can't access the Internet. All other browsers have no problem.

I updated Nightly via the regular update channel for it then tried to use the browser but it wouldn't load any pages. I tried other browsers and they all worked perfectly. My firewall indicates that it is configured for Nightly to browse through it. i tried refreshing Nightly with no change in the problem.

Chosen solution

After waiting overnight and retrying Nightly, it functions fine.

Some problems occur when your Internet security program was set to trust the previous version of a program, but no longer recognizes your updated version as trusted. Now how to fix the problem: To allow to connect to the Internet again;

  • Make sure your Internet security software is up-to-date (i.e. you are running the latest version).
  • Remove the program from your program's list of trusted or recognized programs. For detailed instructions, see

Configure firewalls so that Firefox can access the Internet. {web link}

I tried the above repairs to no avail. I made sure my firewall(which is Norton Security by Symantec) is set to allow Nightly as Firefox.exe through, but nightly still won't access the internet. Norton controls Windows Firewall.FredMcD said
