Firefox will not forget some links, for instance, if I type in "politico" I get a BBC politics article. I don't want to "forget" BBC.
There are sites I visit frequently, and I can just start typing the name of the site into the address bar, and Firefox will fill in the rest of the URL.
Every time I type in "Politico" (a politics blog) the first suggested link is politico.com but the second "suggested" link is "http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-africa-32416963#sa-ns_mchannel=rss&ns_source=PublicRSS20-sa", an article I viewed back when it came out in April 2015. There are some cases where the "favored" link is actually the wrong one, but on a site I visit a lot.
I know there is a "forget" feature but I'm not trying to "forget" BBC.

Hello,
This is normal behavior. When you type a URL in Firefox's address bar, Firefox will try to auto-complete it based on your bookmarks and browsing history. It can't guarantee that the first suggestion is always the one you want.
I suggest you bookmark the pages and websites you visit most, that will improve Firefox's suggestions.
You can also delete your browsing history , if you like. But, then Firefox won't be able to suggest anything from your browsing history, only from your bookmarks. I don't think this is what you want.
