I use an iMac. One thing that irritates me Daily is when auto-fill options Vanish so quickly. I enter B & Firefox shows the options BobNovy _&_ BobNovy@... .

But before I can choose which I want, both disappear. So can I adjust this, somehow?

I suspect that I've found a short-coming with El Capitan, Mac OS X v10.11.1? Or maybe this happens because of my connection to the Internet? Hmmm ... . Thank you.

P. S. I attached my portrait, largely because I could.  :-) I _do_ Look Sharp in a tuxedo, yes?  :-)

Is that in the Location Bar? (where you type a web address)

If so, click the down-caret to get the 'matches' back.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox menu button/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.

  • Switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox menu button/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance
  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window
