SIlverlight always has to be reactivated after I have shut down firefox
I use netflix regularly. It uses silverlight. Before an update to firefox, a few months back, If I clicked on the option to allow silverlight, it stayed allowed until the next update. However now it never stays allowed. Ever. I have to reallow it every time I relaunch firefox. Even if I choose the always allow. I would really like to know why this is and how to get it to stay allowed.
Please note I do not allow cookies to stay on my system, at all, I have them all cleared out every session and I have no plans to allow them to stay. Please let me know if there is a way to fix this so I don't have to choose it every time.
Thanks
Chosen solution
- Open up the Firefox Menu
- Click on Add ons
- A tab will open up, please go to extensions and under Silverlight click the dropdown to "Always Allow"

Do you mean you went to the Add-ons page, Plugins section, and set Silverlight to "Always Activate" or you set a site-specific permission for Netflix to "Allow and Remember" Silverlight? Those are stored in two very different ways, so it's important to know which one you're using.
Regarding site-specific permissions:
Please note I do not allow cookies to stay on my system, at all, I have them all cleared out every session and I have no plans to allow them to stay.
What method are you using to clear the cookies? If you have Firefox set to clear history at shutdown in the Privacy Options, drill down into the settings and make sure you are not removing "Site Preferences". That would remove your site-by-site permission settings for plugins, popups, etc.
I was so looking in the wrong place to fix the problem.
Thank you all.
