when i downloaded Firefox, an annoying "Ad by Flexibleshopper" came in with it - how can i get rid of it?

There are so many ads about fixing my computer and related that come up tagged with "Ad by Flexibleshopper" that i am ready to uninstall FireFox. I can't find it to delete it --- any ideas on how to get rid of it?
