suddenly I can't log into email on this computer only
Yesterday I logged into my email account and today I can access the internet but not email. Are there simple things I can try? I have Ubuntu Linux and Firefox, but am a newbie.
Chosen solution
Clear the cache and remove cookies only from websites that cause problems.
"Clear the Cache":
- Edit > Preferences > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
- Edit > Preferences > Privacy > "Use custom settings for history" > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

Hello Ecstatic,
Why can't you access your email? Is there an error message? Or what happens?
Many site issues can be caused by corrupt cookies or cache. In order to try to fix these problems, the first step is to clear both cookies and the cache. Note: This will temporarily log you out of all sites you're logged in to. To clear cache and cookies do the following:
- Click the menu button
, choose History, and then "Clear Recent History...".
- Under "Time range to clear", select "Everything".
- Now, click the arrow next to Details to toggle the Details list active.
- From the details list, check Cache and Cookies and uncheck everything else.
- Now click the "Clear Now" button.
Further information can be found in the Delete browsing, search and download history on Firefox article.
Did this fix your problems? Please report back to us!
Thanks, Curtis

Thanks to everyone who posted a response. I did as you stated and now I no longer have the problem. My cable provider was stumped and never suggested this as a solution. Next time I'll come here first.
