[SOLVED]I've lost my saved passwords after changing hardware
I had to change my motherboard and processor the other day and immediately after that incident, I seem to have lost all of my passwords. The reason I'm certain of this is because the only password that's saved is from a site I only used after this incident. The only thing I'd done recently other than change hardware was update firefox to 35.02.
Even after restoring my key3.db to a version 4 months old, not a single difference was made. The password manager still only has that one single username and password, rather than the many I had before. Other than the change of hardware, the boot partition and drives are the same and nothing was uninstalled. Also, I'm not sure if it's related, but my logins.json file is 1KB while the logins.json.corrupt is 109KB. Were the passwords saved in there? What should I give a try?
EDIT: Solved with a post by Chris at http://codeverge.com/mozilla.support.firefox/saved-passwords-disappeared-on-update/2006894 I'm not sure how to close this ticket, so feel free to

"You can force Firefox to re-import your old passwords. Here's how: 1. In the location bar, type "about:config" (without the quotes) and press <Enter>. 2. Click [I'll be careful, I Promise!] 3. Search for the preference: signon.importedFromSqlite 4. Right click on signon.importedFromSqlite, and select "Reset". 5. Go to Help-->Troubleshooting_Information, then click on [Open Folder]. That will open Windows Explorer in your Firefox profile. 6. Close Firefox 7. In your profile folder, delete the file "logins.json"."
