Why does the horizontal scrollbar disappear when windows are mazimized, but reappears when minimized?
I am a computer idiot. I don't repair my car and I don't repair my computer. If there's no easy fix, I shall pay somebody to do it for me. So, is there an easy way to get my horizontal scrollbar back? I have updated to the latest Firefox (35). I have restored my computer to a previous date when all was ok. I have downloaded another browser (Chrome) to see if that would fix it. Nothing has worked. The system I'm running is Windows 7 64 bit. I have not attempted to do anything else, because this has led to big problems in the past. Any suggestions, or do I need to take the machine to my fix-it person?
Thanks for any help yu might be able to provide.

Bingo!!! You are right, cor-el. Thank you.
I never noticed this before. Sometimes (when I'm too lazy to get up and get my glasses or can't find them) I just increase the window size.
I seemed to me that the scroll bar was always there, and then it wasn't. Hours wasted, but a lesson learned. I did mention I am a computer idiot, didn't I?
Thanks!!!

Hey,
When you minimize a window, the size of the window decreases. As size decreases the window cannot hold all text with same font size that's why a scroll bar appears. When you minimize the window just decrease the font size and you will see that the scroll bar will disappear.
Is that you wanted to know? If no, you can ping me back any time.
Hi Talha,
Thanks for the suggestion, but sadly it doesn't help.
I want to RESTORE my scroll bar!!
I tried reducing the font size in the maximized window, but no scroll bar appeared. Hmmmmm...
You only get a (horizontal) scroll bar if the content doesn't fit, so you would have to increase the font size or zoom the page to make the content larger if you would want to have the scroll bar appear. However I can't think of a reason to do this if the only reason for the wider window would be to see more of the page content and if the full content fits in a maximized window then that would fulfill this.

You're welcome.
You can use the NoSquint extension to set font size (text/page zoom) and text color on web pages.
