I have been having problems with my tabs. Initially this website took over my home page: www.delta-homes.com/newtab/?type=nt&ts=1416560107&from=wpm11213&uid=ST500DM002-1BD142_Z6E56129XXXXZ6E56129.

I have gone through all the steps to remove it and it no longer appears when I open a window. But when I open a new tab it is still there. When I open properties the target is set as. "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe"

Can you offer any other advice.

Many thanks

Ceri

Hello,

Double check this article to make sure you have removed it completely:

You can reset your newtab page by:

  1. In the Location bar, type about:config and press Enter. The about:config "This might void your warranty!" warning page may appear.
  2. Click I'll be careful, I promise! to continue to the about:config page.
  3. Search for browser.newtab.url, right click the row and select "Reset" or "Modify" (default is about:newtab but you can change it to whatever you like)

Alternatively, you can install the extension Search Reset Tool. This extension resets your home page, search bar, and new tab page back to the default settings and then uninstalls itself.
