Hello,
You can change that setting in your Firefox configuration:
- In the Location bar, type about:config and press Enter. The about:config "This might void your warranty!" warning page may appear.
- Click I'll be careful, I promise! to continue to the about:config page.
- Search for and modify the following preferences (by double clicking the row, or right clicking the row and selecting Modify)
- browser.newtabpage.columns
- browser.newtabpage.rows
If that isn't to your liking, you can try the following extension:

the "about:config" helped alot.. now i have 9.. just.. the size is still the same.. any way to adjust that too without the use of "yet another" addon?
Unfortunately, the only way I know how is to modify the page with a CSS template, either through the userChrome.css file or by installing Stylish (another add-on).
- If you don't want an extension, you can try: http://kb.mozillazine.org/index.php?title=UserChrome.css
You can either use the following style for the Stylish extension, or use the code as a reference for your own style for modifying the size of the tiles:
I believe using that code in the userChrome.css file should produce the same results, but I have never tried that myself.
well thanks for the help... i got it to somewhat resemble what i used to have.. altho.. now im missing the "google searchbar" :D but thats fine.. i never used it anyway
