Why has something called Search.net taken olver when I click Firefox - how do I return to normal

When I click Firefox, aa strange picture appears and the search box at the top says search- default search.net. I found a programme and my computer called Link (or something similar with the same "rosette" logo and removed it, but still get this when I click Firefox. How do I return to normal?
