"The certificate is not trusted because no issuer chain was provided."
When trying to access a website, getting message: "The certificate is not trusted because no issuer chain was provided." I have been able to access the site without any problems until yesterday. There is no option allowing me to continue to the page, so I attempted to add an exception manually. However, when I try to do this on my "certificates" tab, I get a message telling me that this website already has a valid certificate. What's the problem? I am able to access the site on other computers, it is only on my laptop that this problem appears....

hello, that's an issue of a server that doesn't properly implement the intermediate certificates that links its certificate to the root certificate authority trusted by the browser: http://www.sslshopper.com/ssl-checker.html#hostname=andromeda.lf1.cuni.cz
to work around that, please just visit this site once which will put the necessary certs into the cache of the browser: http://www.terena.org/activities/tcs/repository/

hello, can you provide a link to the site in question?
Check the date and time in the clock on your computer: (double) click the clock icon on the Windows Taskbar.
Hello, I have already been told about the date/time change solution, unfortunately my date/time/time zone are set correctly on my computer, so that is not the issue. Here I provide you with the url for link in question: http://ubeo.lf1.cuni.cz/eng/english.htm
I tried to uninstall/reinstall Firefox, start windows in safe mode, and checked my computer for malware, but still came up with nothing....

fhr.cdn.mozilla.net uses an invalid security certificate. The certificate is not trusted because no issuer chain was provided. (Error code: sec_error_unknown_issuer) I can't even get onto the Mozilla site with Firefox....... tried resetting the clock no change tried deleting cert8 no change tried numerous other things suggested in blogs no change Any other sensible ideas ? I can use IE and Opera with no problems whatsoever
