When I try to open several different URLs from history, only the first one gets loaded, repeatedly, in the browser. I am using Firefox 29.0, build:

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:29.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/29.0 ID:20140506152807 CSet: 0cd2e9a8ba6fAll-in-One Sidebar 0.7.22

With these extensions

Chosen Solution

If it works in Safe Mode and in normal mode with all extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) disabled then try to find which extension is causing it by enabling one extension at a time until the problem reappears.

Close and restart Firefox after each change via "Firefox > Exit" (Windows: Firefox/File > Exit; Mac: Firefox > Quit Firefox; Linux: Firefox/File > Quit)

  • If you have many extensions then first enable half of the extensions to test which half has the problem.
  • Continue to divide the bad half that still has the issue until you find which one is causing it.

The bug was a side effect of the bugfix for bug892485_PreventScrollOnHistory add on:

https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=892485

I installed 64 bit Waterfox 28 and when I disabled and reinstalled this add on and history appears to work again. I am not sure why this works, because it did not solve the problem in official Firefox 29.0.
