I restored my computer to an earlier version, installed latest version of firefox and Shockwave for director, everything is fine now. Thankyou for your help guigs2.

I have not heard of Xtra, and if reinstalling does not help the error, can you see if there is an add on that is causing this warning. Use Troubleshoot Mode in Firefox will be helpful, but it will only disable add ons, not extensions.

Is this Xtra? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Xtra_%28Macromedia%29 In previous versions, it allowed attackers to get access to the memory and insert corrupt memory for a denial of service see: http://www.cvedetails.com/vulnerabili.../Adobe-Shockwave-Player.html

If you do not use the extension, would your one installation of version 13 be sufficient?
