How to find support questions
Here's how to find support questions on Mozilla Support:
- Hover over the Community Forums menu in the main navigation to open the flyout menu.
- Under the Browse by product section, select the product you'd like to support. Alternatively, select View all forums to browse questions across all Mozilla products.
- If you've registered as a contributor through the Contribute page, you'll be taken to the Attention needed tab by default. This view prioritizes questions based on urgency and recent activity.
- Open a question you'd like to answer. We recommend opening it in a new tab so you can easily return to the question list afterward.
Choosing which questions to answer
Before selecting a question, consider the following:
- Choose a product you're familiar with. Answering questions about products you use regularly will help you provide more accurate and confident responses. If you're new to contributing, Firefox for Android and Firefox for iOS are often good places to start because they typically receive fewer responses than Firefox desktop.
- Consider the user's operating system. For desktop questions, pay attention to whether the user is on Windows, macOS or Linux. Some issues are operating system-specific, so you'll usually be most effective answering questions for platforms you're familiar with.
- Pay attention to the user's Firefox version. The Firefox version can provide important troubleshooting clues. Users running older versions may be experiencing issues that have already been resolved, so asking them to update to the latest version is often a helpful first step.
How to stay updated with new questions
If you'd like to be notified when new questions are posted, you can install the SUMO Live Helper extension, created and maintained by fellow community members.
The extension can display browser notifications whenever a new question is posted for the products and locales you choose to follow, making it easier to respond quickly.
