I am not entirely sure if it is possible. However, did you use refresh recently in Firefox?

You could see if the "Old Firefox Data" folder on your desktop has a copy of the places.sqlite file with a recent date. However, there is not a way to import it (though you could create another temp profile, restore the places file in that new profile and sync the two profiles)

The other option, is there a feature in Windows 7 that lets you right click on the file and "Restore to previous version"? This will only work if you have a recent restore point and have Windows Back up enabled.

Those work around have helped in the past, however it solely depends if there was a back up made by the OS or if you Refreshed Firefox.
